Woodstock Mayor, Council and DDA Hold Joint Executive Session on Jan. 30, 2026

The Woodstock Mayor and City Council met jointly with the Downtown Development Authority on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, for a special executive session that began at 7:00 a.m. at New Ground Farm, 4563 Hickory Flat Highway, Canton, GA 30115.

Following the agenda items Woodstock Community News previewed ahead of the meeting, the session opened with a formal oath of office administered to Trent Chambers for his reappointment to the Downtown Development Authority. The reappointment had been made by Ward 1 Council Member Warren Johnson, with City Manager Michael Caldwell listed as the staff contact.

The DDA guides economic development and revitalization efforts in Woodstock's downtown district, making board appointments a matter of ongoing interest to business owners and residents who follow downtown planning and investment decisions.

Following the oath of office, the joint body moved into executive session to deliberate on personnel, litigation and real estate matters, as had been anticipated.
