Woodstock public safety heroes shop with nearly 100 children

The program unites first responders with families to support the community during the holidays.</p><p>Personnel from the Woodstock Police Department, Woodstock Fire Department, and Cherokee County E 9-1-1 participated in the shopping trip. The event was hosted by Walmart and coordinated with help from the Woodstock Public Safety Foundation to provide gifts for children in need.</p><p>Officials described the 2025 event as a success, noting that the collaboration between the agencies, the foundation, and the retailer helped make the season "merry and bright" for the participating youth. The initiative serves as a way for local first responders to give back directly to Woodstock residents.</p>
