Woodstock Public Safety Foundation Gears Up for Summer Raffles and Fall Golf Tournament

The Woodstock Public Safety Foundation is asking residents to get acquainted with its mission, and consider opening their wallets, as the organization heads into its busiest fundraising stretch of the year. A summer presence at the Woodstock Concert Series and a fall golf tournament, the foundation's largest annual fundraiser, are both on the horizon.

The foundation operates under the motto "serving those who serve our community," and that mission is straightforward: support the men and women of the Woodstock Police Department and Woodstock Fire Department in ways that city budgets alone cannot always cover. Jointly promoted by both departments, the foundation exists in the space between what government funding provides and what public safety personnel actually need, whether that means helping a family navigate the financial strain of a line-of-duty injury, funding equipment that falls outside standard appropriations, or recognizing officers and firefighters for exceptional service.
