The Woodstock Planning Commission will meet Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, at 7 p.m. in The Chambers at City Center, 8534 Main St., to consider three land use applications - all scheduled as public hearings - along with leadership elections and a routine minutes approval.
The meeting will open with the election of a chair and vice chair for the commission, an organizational step that sets the panel's leadership for the coming term. Melissa Sigmund is listed as the staff contact for that item.
Commissioners will then be asked to approve minutes from the Jan. 8, 2026, meeting before turning to the evening's main business: three separate land use requests, each of which includes a public hearing where residents may comment.
The most consequential item on the agenda may be CUP#093-25, a request for a Conditional Use Permit at 706 Robin Court. The application seeks permission to develop property within the city's Downtown District on less than five acres, paired with a concurrent variance for site development standards. City planning staff is recommending denial of the request. The commission's vote will follow the public hearing.
The second application, V#219-25, involves a variance request at 702 Ravenwood Drive. The applicant is seeking permission to encroach and develop within a 75-foot impervious stream setback and to make limited disturbance to a 50-foot undisturbed stream buffer in order to build a single-family home. Planning staff is recommending approval of that variance, subject to conditions of approval outlined by staff.
The third application, V#220-25, covers a variance request at 704 Robin Court. That request would allow an increased sidewalk supplemental zone at the property. Planning staff is also recommending approval of this variance, subject to staff-recommended conditions. Cameron Dunn is listed as the staff contact for all three land use items.
All three applications are listed as public hearings, meaning members of the public will have the opportunity to speak on each matter before the commission votes.
The agenda also includes a Planning Commission Update under the presentations portion of the meeting, with Sigmund listed as the presenter.
The meeting is open to the public. Hearing assistance is available upon request. The full agenda is posted on the City of Woodstock's online agenda portal.
