Woodstock Fire Recruits and Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services Recruits completed their first "Live Fire Training" session on Tuesday. The joint exercise provided vital hands-on experience for the newest class of first responders preparing to serve the community.
During the training, recruits donned full protective gear and breathing apparatuses to navigate smoky conditions and suppress active flames. Photographs from the event show firefighters positioning hose lines and working in tandem to manage the controlled fire environment.
This milestone marks the first time these recruits have faced live fire during their academy training. The session highlights the ongoing collaboration between the city and county departments as they prepare the next generation of firefighters for emergency response duties.
