The event marked the official transition of leadership for the department responsible for public safety in the city.</p><p>Castro took the oath of office inside the City Council Chambers, standing before the city seal. During the proceedings, he raised his right hand to be sworn in while a family member assisted by holding the Bible. The ceremony was accompanied by a welcome reception, offering an opportunity for the community and city officials to greet the incoming chief.</p>
