The City of Woodstock officially installed Roland Castro as the new Police Chief during a formal swearing-in ceremony and reception on December 16, 2025. The event marked the official transition of leadership for the department responsible for public safety in the city.
Castro took the oath of office inside the City Council Chambers, standing before the city seal. During the proceedings, he raised his right hand to be sworn in while a family member assisted by holding the Bible. The ceremony was accompanied by a welcome reception, offering an opportunity for the community and city officials to greet the incoming chief.
