Noonday Creek Trail Closes Wednesday Through Friday for Sewer Repair Near Downtown Woodstock
The closure affects the segment from GA-92 to the South on Main neighborhood

A popular stretch of the Noonday Creek Trail will be closed Wednesday through Friday while crews complete a sewer line repair, the City of Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department announced. The closure affects the trail segment running from GA-92 south to the South on Main neighborhood, a heavily traveled corridor that sits at the doorstep of downtown Woodstock.
Walkers, joggers, cyclists and dog owners who rely on that stretch as part of their daily routine should plan for alternate routes during the three-day window. No official detour has been announced, but trail users can access other portions of the Noonday Creek Trail outside the closure zone.
The affected segment is among the most-used sections of the entire trail system. Noonday Creek Trail winds through the heart of Woodstock, linking neighborhoods, green spaces and the city's walkable downtown along a paved path that has become a defining feature of everyday life here. The GA-92 to South on Main corridor draws particular foot traffic given its proximity to the South on Main mixed-use development and the broader downtown district, meaning even a short-term closure is likely to ripple across the routines of a significant number of residents.
The city expects the trail to reopen once the repair work is complete. Residents with questions or looking for timeline updates can contact Woodstock Parks and Recreation directly.
