The Metro Atlanta Film Summit returns for its second year on March 13, 2026, gathering filmmakers and industry professionals at the YANMAR EVO//Center in Acworth. The day-long event focuses on education and networking for the region’s growing creative workforce.
Presented by the Cherokee Office of Economic Development, the summit will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 5889 Old Alabama Road. The event evolved from the long-running Cherokee Film Summit into a regional gathering designed to connect creatives across metro Atlanta. Organizers aim to unify the market by fostering collaboration across county lines.
Attendees can expect workshop-style breakout sessions and keynote presentations covering practical skills and industry trends. While the 2026 agenda focuses on "authentic connections," previous topics have included voiceover work, motion capture, film finance, and accessibility in film.
Molly Mercer, Director of Film at the Cherokee Office of Economic Development, emphasized that these conversations help keep the state's film sector strong. She noted that this strength creates economic opportunities for filmmakers as well as local businesses and support services. Tickets are available at cherokeega.org.
