Free Home Teacher Joins Superintendent's Advisory Council
Third-grade educator Kristin Davis selected to provide feedback to district leadership as part of newly formed group.

<p><em>Woodstock Community News| Woodstock, GA</em></p><p>Free Home Elementary School teacher Kristin Davis has been named to the Cherokee County School District’s newly formed Superintendent's Teacher Advisory Council. A 12-year educator, Davis joins the council to provide feedback and share classroom perspectives directly with district administration.</p><p>The advisory council was established to give educators a dedicated platform to share their views with the Superintendent. According to the school district, the group highlights the "unparalleled" talent of local teachers and their willingness to go the extra mile for students. The district is currently introducing council members to the community over the coming weeks.</p><p>Davis currently teaches third grade at Free Home Elementary. She began her career teaching first grade in Gwinnett County for three years before joining the Cherokee County School District, where she has also taught second grade. She cites a desire to be a positive impact in people's lives as her primary motivation for entering the profession.</p><p>In her classroom, Davis focuses on "differentiated instruction," a method that involves tailoring lessons to meet students where they are academically. She emphasizes that each student is on their own path to excellence. Beyond academic subjects, Davis stated that she hopes her students learn how to care for and treat others well.</p>
