Firefighters Extinguish Early Morning Attic Fire Near Woodstock

Firefighters from Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services and the Woodstock Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Farmington Drive just before 5:45 a.m. this morning. Crews arrived to find a chimney fire had spread to the home's attic, but quickly brought the situation under control.
Upon arrival at the home in unincorporated Cherokee County, emergency teams discovered the flames had extended beyond the chimney structure. Firefighters immediately conducted a search of the residence to ensure no victims were trapped inside while simultaneously working to contain the blaze.
