Crews Extinguish House Fire Near Woodstock; No Injuries Reported

<p><em>Woodstock Community News| Woodstock, GA</em></p><p>Cherokee County and Woodstock firefighters responded to a residential fire on Gum Creek Circle just before 7:30 a.m. this morning. Crews quickly extinguished flames originating from a back porch smoker, ensuring all residents escaped the single-family home safely.</p><p>Engine 7, operating out of the Little River station, arrived first at the scene in unincorporated southern Cherokee County. Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and visible flames coming from the back deck. Crews immediately deployed hose lines to control the blaze while simultaneously searching the structure to ensure no occupants remained inside.</p><p>Officials reported no injuries, and all residents were safely accounted for during the incident. Following an inspection by Cherokee County Fire Investigators, the fire was ruled accidental. The investigation determined the blaze originated from a smoker located on the back porch of the residence.</p>
