The City of Woodstock has officially broken ground on Fire Station 34, launching a new infrastructure project aimed at expanding emergency response coverage for the community. Officials marked the occasion on January 12 with a ceremonial event to kick off construction efforts.
A large sign erected at the site identifies the location as the "Future Home of City of Woodstock Fire Station #34." The signage displays an architectural rendering of the upcoming facility, which features a modern brick design prominently displaying the station number. The project is being undertaken by the Woodstock Fire Department.
According to the city, the primary objective of the new station is to improve emergency service capabilities within Woodstock. The groundbreaking ceremony included ceremonial white hard hats and shovels, signaling the immediate transition from planning to active construction.
