Cherokee School Board Tours Boston Elementary with Superintendent
District leaders visited the school on Jan. 8 to observe classroom operations and review improvements.

<p><em>Woodstock Community News| Woodstock, GA</em></p><p>Cherokee County School Board members joined Superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis at Boston Elementary School on Jan. 8 to tour classrooms and observe daily operations. The visit aimed to evaluate how district policies align with classroom realities and review recent school improvements.</p><p>Principal Dr. Celeice Hood led the delegation through the school, allowing board members to observe teachers and staff in action. The itinerary included a tour of the facilities to discuss ongoing progress and a stop in the cafeteria, where officials joined students for a standard school nutrition lunch. According to the district, these regular site visits are designed to strengthen the connection between administrative decisions and classroom experiences.</p><p>Several district officials attended the tour, including School Board Chair Janet Read Welch and board members Chance Beam, Kelly Poole, Dr. Susan Padgett-Harrison, and Erin Ragsdale. They were accompanied by district staff, including Chief of Staff Tyler Gwynn and Chief School Leadership & Operations Officer Dr. Debra Murdock.</p>
