Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is urging Woodstock and county residents to subscribe to its emergency notification system to stay informed during severe weather events. The service offers alerts via text, email, and voice to help ensure public safety.
Residents can subscribe immediately by texting "CHEROKEEEMA" to 226787. Alternatively, a QR code is available on official county graphics for quick registration. The system utilizes RAVE Mobile Safety technology to distribute these critical updates.
The initiative emphasizes preparedness with the slogan "Don't Get Caught In The Storm." Officials note that standard text and data rates may apply for subscribers using the SMS option. For further details on the program, the county has released additional information online.
