The Cherokee County School District has climbed from 21st to 8th among the highest-achieving school districts in Georgia, according to the March edition of the district's CCSD Connections newsletter, now available online.
The ranking milestone anchors the superintendent's "State of CCSD" message in this month's issue, a feature that gives Cherokee County parents a broad look at where the district stands academically and operationally. The jump of 13 spots signals a meaningful shift in how the district measures up against peers statewide.
Beyond the achievement news, the newsletter carries several items with immediate relevance for families. Parents of incoming kindergartners or students new to the district will find registration information in this month's issue, along with a collection of resources aimed at helping families navigate the school system.
The district is also using the newsletter to remind job seekers about a hiring event. A job fair is scheduled for March 7, giving prospective employees a chance to connect directly with Cherokee County School District staff.
Credit Union of Georgia, a CCSD community partner, sponsors the March edition.
The full newsletter is available on the Cherokee County School District website. For a district that has steadily built its academic reputation over the years, the jump into Georgia's top 10 gives Cherokee County families something concrete to point to, and something to build on.
