26 Woodstock Firefighters Receive 2025 Physical Fitness Awards
The department recognized personnel across multiple ranks during a banquet held last Friday night.

<p><em>Woodstock Community News| Woodstock, GA</em></p><p>The Woodstock Fire Department recognized 26 personnel with the 2025 Physical Fitness Award during an awards banquet held last Friday night. The honors highlight the department’s commitment to maintaining the physical readiness required for emergency response duties throughout the city.</p><p>Awards were distributed to staff members across various ranks of the department's leadership and crew. Battalion Chiefs Danny Allen, Rusty Beal, and Tim Smith received the distinction. Captains recognized for their physical fitness included Rodney Kendall, Sean Mulvihill, Joey Cheshire, Joye Byrd, and Wes Huffman.</p><p>A significant number of Sergeants also earned the award, including Wyatt Payne, Jimmy Wheeler, Justin Owenby, Jordan Carter, Jesse Brookshire, Clint Helbley, Nathan Baugh, and Nick Jones. Master Firefighters Patrick Johnson, Phil Smith, Brian Dean, and David Sargenski were also among the recipients honored at the event.</p><p>The department rounded out the list of honorees by recognizing Senior Firefighters Zach Licona, Vance Collins, Justin York, and Andrew McMichen, as well as Firefighters Brandon Biro and Johnathen Gomez. In a statement regarding the banquet, the department thanked the group for "being ready for the call."</p>
