Woodstock hosts Veterans Day ceremony

<p><em>Woodstock Community News | Woodstock, GA</em></p><p>The City of Woodstock invites residents to a Veterans Day ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. in The Chambers at City Center (8534 Main Street), honoring past and present service members with remarks, a candlelight tribute and refreshments, officials said.</p><p>The event is presented in partnership with Marine Corps League Detachment 1311 Woodstock, American Legion Post 316 Woodstock and the Warrior's Watch Riders. Attendees will be offered coffee, hot chocolate and cookies as part of the celebration.</p><p>Marybeth Stockdale, Woodstock special events coordinator, said Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the "courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the men and women who have defended our freedoms" and invited the community to join in showing appreciation for those who served and continue to serve.</p><p>The ceremony was moved from the Park at City Center to The Chambers at City Center (8534 Main Street) because of cold temperatures in Tuesday’s forecast.
