Workers delivered and installed a second pedestrian bridge at the Little River Park construction site on Tuesday, marking a visible milestone in the city's push to open the long-anticipated greenspace along the Little River in Woodstock.
An aerial photograph shared by the city shows both bridges in place along the riverbank, with a crane and heavy equipment still on site. The image captures the park's trail corridor taking shape, with the two white-framed spans positioned to carry visitors across the water once the park opens.
The City of Woodstock posted the update on its Facebook page, calling the delivery a sign that the project is drawing closer to completion, though officials stopped short of announcing an opening date.
The city is asking residents to stay off the trails in the meantime. Trespassing on the active construction site, officials said, risks both personal safety and potential delays to the project's timeline.
For Woodstock residents who have watched the site take shape along the river corridor, the second bridge signals that the finish line is within sight.
