Clayton Elementary School has achieved a new milestone, recording a 6.0-point increase in its Progress score to reach a record-high 97.4 on Georgia’s College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), according to district officials.
Principal Valerie Lowery credited the achievement to the strong bonds between educators and their pupils. "I attribute this success to the relationships our teachers build with each student," Lowery said. She noted that teachers personalize instruction by getting to know students individually to help them reach their potential.
The new score of 97.4 represents a significant jump in the Progress category of the statewide accountability system. According to the Cherokee County School District, this metric verifies that students at the school are demonstrating higher levels of learning and growth in the classroom compared to other environments.
