A Cherokee High School senior has earned statewide recognition for her artistic talent. Grace Dai placed second in the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites Art Contest, securing a spot for her work at the State Capitol in 2026.
Dai’s winning entry, titled "The Fall of the House of Chief Vann," will be exhibited at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta during the upcoming 2026 legislative session. The Cherokee County School District congratulated both Dai and her art teacher, Morgan Clifton, for this achievement in the statewide competition.
This accolade adds to a growing list of honors for the senior, who was previously selected for the Governor's Honors Program for Visual Arts and included in the Atlanta High School Art Exhibit. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Dai has also been recognized for academic excellence as a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist.
