Morning PreK canceled districtwide as the school district monitors severe weather conditions
Cherokee County School District announced a two-hour delay for all schools Monday due to a tornado watch and incoming storms affecting the region.
All start times and bus stop pickup times were shifted two hours later than normal — a student regularly picked up at 6 a.m., for example, would instead be picked up at 8 a.m. Morning PreK classes were canceled for the day, while afternoon PreK sessions were expected to run on a normal schedule. Breakfast service was modified upon student arrival.
The district said it was actively monitoring weather conditions and encouraged families to stay tuned for updates.
