Emergency management urges residents to have a weather plan and exercise caution if traveling
Cherokee County emergency officials are warning residents of the potential for strong and severe thunderstorms overnight into Monday morning, urging the public to stay weather aware and prepared.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office shared an update from Cherokee County Emergency Management alerting the community to the incoming storm system. Officials asked residents to have a plan in place and use caution if travel is necessary during the overnight hours.
The Storm Prediction Center shared a post breaking down a rough timing for the line of storms expected to move through the area overnight into Monday morning. Residents are encouraged to monitor the latest weather updates as conditions develop.
