Woodstock Police Department Brings Recruiting to the Coffee Shop Saturday

Officers will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to meet prospective applicants in person

The Woodstock Police Department is stepping outside the station and into the community this weekend, hosting a hiring event Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Black Rifle Coffee Company, 10971 Ga. 92, Woodstock.

No appointment is needed. The format is intentionally low-key, officers and recruiters will be on hand to answer questions, walk through the application process, and give anyone curious about the job an honest look at what it means to wear a Woodstock badge.

That kind of direct access matters. For many people who have thought about law enforcement but never taken the next step, the distance between interest and application is often just a conversation. Swapping the formal recruiting office for a coffee shop removes a layer of friction and puts potential candidates across the table from the people who actually do the work.

Woodstock has grown into one of Cherokee County's most active and densely populated cities, and the department's staffing needs have grown alongside it. Recruiting events like this one reflect an ongoing effort to build a force that keeps pace with the community it serves, and to reach candidates who might not have otherwise walked through a precinct door.

Whether you're a seasoned law enforcement professional exploring a lateral move or someone just beginning to consider a career in public safety, Saturday's event is worth an hour of your time. Attendees can expect straight answers about pay, benefits, training, and the day-to-day realities of working Woodstock's streets.
